On the afternoon of the 18th, 2024, the 19th China International Small and Medium Enterprises Expo concluded in Guangzhou.

The China International Small and Medium sized Enterprise Expo (hereinafter referred to as "CIIE") is an international cooperation and exchange event for small and medium-sized enterprises hosted by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and organized by relevant units such as the Guangdong Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology.

Since its first hosting in 2004, the China International Fair for Trade and Industry (CIIE) has developed into an important platform to help small and medium-sized enterprises from various countries connect with large markets, create great business opportunities, innovate and cooperate, showcase a big stage, and promote great development. More than 54000 participating companies have accumulated, resulting in a contract amount of nearly 1 trillion yuan. At the opening ceremony of this expo, the "January Chain" National Financing Promotion Campaign for Small and Medium sized Enterprises was officially launched, and activities such as the "Signing Ceremony between Guangdong Chain Enterprises and Specialized, Refined, Unique and New Small and Medium sized Enterprises" were also held.

Minister of Industry and Information Technology Jin Zhuanglong said that in recent years, Chinese small and medium-sized enterprises have actively responded to environmental changes, overcome multiple challenges, and embarked on a specialized, refined, and innovative development path, achieving significant results in high-quality development. In 2023, there were an average of 27000 newly established enterprises per day, and the total number of small and medium-sized enterprises exceeded 57 million. As of now, a total of over 140000 specialized, refined, unique, and new small and medium-sized enterprises have been cultivated, including 14600 specialized, refined, unique, and new "little giant" enterprises, forming 300 characteristic industrial clusters of small and medium-sized enterprises.

At present, China has established more than 20 bilateral and multilateral cooperation mechanisms in the field of small and medium-sized enterprises, and set up 15 Sino foreign small and medium-sized enterprise cooperation zones, becoming a new highland for small and medium-sized enterprises to open up and cooperate with the outside world.

During the "China International Fair", over 10000 buyers attended the event for procurement, and more than 120000 people visited, negotiated, and purchased offline. The intended transaction amount was nearly 100 billion yuan per year.
